Major Changes in DLC LED High Bay Certification Requirements

DLC has been following technical development and market changes in globalLED Lighting industry to improve energy saving. The goals in upgrading the performance requirements are, to improve led high bay light efficiency, differentiate different LED Lights products and use subsidies more effectively. At the same time, DLC V4.0 has added allowances for specific products and is encouraging manufacturers to report detailed TM-30 data of Rf and Rg.

In DLC V4.0, there are still two types of performance requirements for LED lights products – Standard and Premium. Comparing with DLC V3.1, the changes on light efficacy requirement for corresponding product are as follows:

DLC Standard: much higher light efficacy requirement in DLC V4.0 than that in DLC V3.1. There is an average of 20 to 25 lm/W increase for each range of product.

DLC Premium: Comparing with DLC V3.1, the light efficacies respectively increase 10 lm/W for outdoor lighting products, 15-20 lm/W for indoorlamp s product and 40 lm/W for case lighting.http://www.elitesemicon.com/newsone.asp?t1=1004
